That's an interesting take on Aileen Cannon, as much as I hate to say it.

Well, when you're fighting a war or running a company, you always steal the most effective tactics of opponents.

Substack is starting to irk me, I did even know you responded to my post. They used to inform you when someone replied to your posts.

Ms Cannon went to undergrad at Duke and her JD at U of Mich so she’s no slouch. She flew under everybody’s radar except Leonard Leo’s. Everything she did slowed the process down like molasses in January; even her two “screwups”. So yes, she knew her assignment.

How long will this Deep State Resistance hold out if or when trmp starts firing federal employees right and left? This is my only concern. Most federal employees still need their paychecks and rocking the boat or even looking suspicious will be risky, no?

Even if Trump makes 40,000 civil service employees subject to arbitrary dismissal, there will still be hundreds of thousands that cannot be fired without a long-drawn-out process. I am anticipating that much of the resistance will not be principled—it will simply a result of bureaucrats not wanting to do anything new or in a new way. Bureaucratic slow walking has existed for decades

Kathleen Weber, this is FABULOUS information! Conscious resistance - I'm gonna tell everybody I know. Also, Americans have not unleashed their power of the boycott. Most people I know have enough stuff, way more than enough, and I'd like to see people decide to pare it down to the most basic essentials for a few years, let Bezos and his ilk really have it. We have power, we need to use it.

I hope ALL federal employees get acquainted with their rights for filing cases for wrongful termination, MSPB and OSC. It is difficult to look for info after the removal process has been started because that includes, harassment, doxxing, death threats and other. See the OSC here: https://osc.gov/Documents/Outreach%20and%20Training/Handouts/Your%20Rights%20as%20a%20Federal%20Employee%20(v2024).pdf
