I am sorry for your loss. However, I'm focused on how much happiness Bode shared with you. As the days, months, and years fall away, I urge you to hang onto the truth that you never missed a window of opportunity to share your love with this magnificent boy. He will not be forgotten because he is tattooed on your heart.

Deepest sympathy for the loss of your beloved Bode. My devoted 10yrs old Tibetan Terrier Bonnie crossed the Rainbow Bridge yesterday leaving me and her ‘comrade in arms’ Tibetan Terrier Tassie bereft today. Thank you Marc for sharing the story of your life with your special boy Bode 💔

My Teah has been gone over ten years, your loss of Bode has me crying, for you, for Bode, for Teah, for me. No words will comfort you, your grief will change over time, but it will always be with you. There was only one Teah. There was only one Bode.

I feel exactly the same. I still cry over my Rusty and it's been 7 years. You move on because you have to but you never forget them.

Thanks for the cross post re Marc Elias and his beautiful dog Bode.

So sorry for his loss. That is hard.

I love the shot of Corey Booker having a moment with him.

Dogs are good judges of character!

I have only known one Portuguese Water Dog who was so cool he rode in the passenger seat sitting like a human with his right arm resting on the armrest. I had to pull over to take his photo, it was so cool. I put my sunglasses on him for another shot & he didn't even try to shake them off-he knew how cool he was!

You must miss Bode so much. I still talk to the photos of all my dogs from long ago - to - recent as I pass by their photos in the hallway. There is always a feeling that they hear me. 💙 always.

On particularly bad days I stop and address out loud one or all of them hanging in their frames & explain exactly why I am so sad & losing faith in Americans and also how much I miss every single dog & cat that shared life with me here on this rotating sphere. 🌎I figure it is akin to praying for devout people. It does not matter so much who you pray to or confide in as long as they are loving intelligent creatures designed by some benevolent power that cares about kindness. If that is sacrilegious , so be it.

I've lost 2 dogs and have one now for 15 years. She means the world to me. My husband says dogs are a pain because they are like children who never grow up. I think that's their blessing is that they are like happy children who never grow up. They also never talk back, ask for money, or leave you.

Deepest sympathy for your loss- your wonderful dog received as much from you as you cherished

him- and that is all- and the best- you can do. Had two dogs from from local shelter for twelve and fourteen years- adopted same day, and finally had to do what you did- out of sadness and relief-

and miss them both deeply- but with growing gratitude for the gift of their love and attention-

may that increasingly console you over time. RIP,BODE!

I am so sorry. The greatest thing is they are so forgiving, so wise, and so steady. They never question your decisions, they just stand by and affirm it. The best thing about the Bodes of this world? Their love is unconditional.
